Strictly Come Dancing Professional
Russian-born Luba Mushtuk has been lighting up our screens as a professional dancer on BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing since 2018. Realising her passion for dance at an early age, Luba began competing when she was just four years old and at the age of 12, was offered a life-changing opportunity to move to study dance in Italy with world renowned teacher, Caterina Arzenton. Excelling at her craft, she went on to represent both Russia and Italy, winning multiple International Championships in Ballroom and Latin.
In 2011 when she joined Italian TV show, Baila – choreographing celebrities and discovering a love for TV and theatre which would soon become her life. In 2015, Luba was back on stage touring with the Broadway and West End record breaking company Burn The Floor – something she describes as one of the most challenging but incredible experiences of her career to date. In 2016 she joined the BBC Strictly Come Dancing team as dancer and assistant choreographer, leaving a powerful impression which led to a spot on the Strictly Live Tour in 2017.
Luba then went on to land guest roles in Kevin and Karen’s Dance Live UK Tour, and as leading lady in three of her Strictly co-star, Giovanni Pernice’s live tours. In 2020, Luba finally took to the Strictly floor as a competing pro, entertaining millions with her first celebrity partner, Olympic Gold Medallist James Cracknell and later, with American football player, Jason Bell.
2021 will see Luba return to our screens on Strictly Come Dancing and she recently launched her very own range of athleisurewear, Forever x Luba Mushtuk – featuring bold, stand out slogans which are a reflection of her fierce personality. Luba hopes to share her passion for performing, wellbeing and encouraging others to make it happen for themselves.
