Laura Hamilton is a best known as one of the faces of Channel 4’s popular television show ‘A Place in the Sun’. She loves to travel and has hands on experience when it comes to property. She started renovating houses aged 19 and has developed 19 properties to date, including her first commercial venture in 2017.
Laura began her television career working behind the scenes as an assistant floor manager. After four years working on a variety of shows, she moved to the other side of the camera and started working as a children’s TV presenter. Her other TV credits include ‘Beat My Build’ for Channel 4 which saw participants renovating their projects and competing against each other to win a cash prize and ‘Cowboy Builders and Bodge Jobs’ for Channel 5. She presented the action adventure show ‘Fort Boyard’ for ITV for 5 series, and her love for the active didn’t stop there. In 2011 she wowed audiences and judges alike, taking second place in ITV’s Dancing on Ice, and in 2014 she participated in Channel 4’s first series of The Jump.
Laura thrives on being a busy working mum to her children Rocco and Tahlia, and in 2017, Laura and her husband Alex opened ‘Lord Roberts on The Green’, a coffee shop and deli which has become a popular community hub in their local area.
A keen writer, Laura regularly writes and provides video content for ‘Hello!’ magazine. She also travel writes for ‘The Mail on Sunday’,’A Place in the Sun’ magazine and other national publications. Having travelled with both of her children around the world since they were 4 weeks old, she is somewhat of an expert when it comes to travelling with little ones.
