TV Presenter, Producer and Journalist
Kate Quilton is a TV presenter, journalist and producer best known for presenting Channel 4’s Food Unwrapped and Superfoods: The Real Story. Her work investigating the wonders of food have helped her make her name and a fascination with all things nutritional has seen her front numerous TV programmes on the subject.
Whilst studying History at Bristol University, Kate, 34 landed her first job in TV as a reporter for ITV West. After graduating, she presented a live science show for young people around the world for the Institute of Engineering and Technology, as part of the Faraday Lectures. She went on to work as a broadcast journalist for the BBC in Somerset, where her love of food and farming was realised!
Kate began working for Channel 4 in 2008, running the online editorial for some of the network’s biggest shows, leading her to become one of Channel 4’s youngest commissioning editors. Over six years, she commissioned numerous award winning multiplatform shows including ‘D-Day: As It Happens’, which won the 2014 BAFTA for Digital Creativity, and the Digital Emmy in the same year.
Kate currently co-hosts the hugely successful Channel 4 show, Food Unwrapped which explores the scientific research and truth behind certain food myths. Kate also presents, Superfoods: The Real Story – a documentary series about the origins of purported superfoods. This and a whole host of other successful shows including Animal Rescue Live: Supervet Special.
Kate, 34 has an influential passion for food and cooking, but is also an incredibly talented musician and has performed as a saxophonist and flautist at various national music festivals including Glastonbury!
